Receiver’s Second Fee Application

3 Sep

Joseph W. Grier, III, Receiver, has filed a motion for compensation for the period of June 3, 2013 through August 28, 2013 to Grier, Furr & Crisp, P.A. The motion for compensation seeks fees of $50,822.00 and reimbursement of expenses of $1,686.48, for a total of 52,508.48.

If you do not want the Court to approve this motion, or if you want the Court to consider your views, then on or before September 18, 2013, you or your attorney must do the following: (1) file a written response explaining your position with the Court; (2) mail, fax or email a copy of your response to the Receiver; and (3) attend a hearing on your response, if the Court schedules a hearing.

If you or your attorney do not take these steps, the Court may decide that you do not oppose the relief the Receiver requests and may enter an order approving the motion for compensation.

At this rate we will be lucky to get 20 cents to a dollar.

There wont be. Majority of funds will be sucked up by lawyers and we will get 1 cent per dollar. Its how it works in our silly justice system. No one works for free

I object to this second payment. The attorney is racking up bills that will take away what funds are recovered for the victims in this case. At the rate he is billing he may be the one who gets the biggest part of any recovery and that doesn’t seem fair.

Yes, I’m sure posting a few updates and paying a couple of office clerks really costs over $50,000 in three months. Well done.

Mason and now this guy? I’ve had my fill of your second-rate country – nothing more than a banana republic.
